About the studio
Based on the Renaissance model of the Atelier, Marcel's Art Studio attracts people of all ability levels who are interested in developing their skills in oil painting, drawing, airbrush, pastels, pen and ink, and watercolor. After a series of introductory exercises, students select their own subjects and media and work at their own pace under the guidance of Marcel Franquelin, a classically trained artist with 30 years of experience. The STUDENTS section of the website testifies to the caliber of the learning experience and the consequent products. In addition to studio practice, students are encouraged to participate in exhibitions and art competitions. There are a variety of membership programs to accomodate students' personal schedules and needs.
